UK online bingo players may be shocked to learn that, according to the latest Lonely Planet guide book on Britian, Brits are obsessed with celebrity and addicted to junk food amongst other things. But then, maybe not. The unflattering view of the nation claims more Britons vote in TV talent shows than in government elections and are fascinated by famous people "even though their 'celebrity' status is based on little more than the ability to sing a jolly tune, look good in tight trousers or kick a ball in the right direction". On the plus side, the guide noted Britain's multiculturalism. "Brits are just as likely to tuck into a chicken madras as a Sunday roast, or to check out the Notting Hill Carnival rather than Trooping the Colour," according to co-ordinating author David Else. The guide does not cover the habits of UK people who play online bingo or any online gaming habits.
