The world of online bingo was rocked by the news that Kerry Katona, the face of Bingos.co.uk, was held hostage in her own home by armed burglars who eventually made of with two televisions, an Xbox and a Playstation 3 gaming machines, jewellery and watches. The family were also robbed of their blue BMW M5 sports car. Ms Katona’s husband was forced to show the robbers where their valuables were while the gang kept her and her five-month old daughter captive in a downstairs room. According to Reuters, Ms Katona's spokesman Max Clifford said she was in a "dreadful state" and that one of the robbers had held a knife to her throat at one stage during the incident. "It was a most horrible experience," Clifford told Sky News. Fans of Ms Katona and members of Bingos.co.uk will be happy to learn that she and her family were not physically harmed “but were left shaken and their ordeal has lasted for around half an hour," according to a Cheshire Police spokeswoman. People who play online bingo will know Ms Katona best from her role as the front person for popular online bingo hall Bingos.co.uk and for her winning turn in the third series of "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here."
