Amy Winehouse has got her act together long enough to make an appearance at the prestigious Mercury Awards. The troubled singer, the UK’s own bad-girl to rival the likes of Hilton, Lohan and Richie in the US, turned up for a rehearsal for a show in which she is nominated for a £20,000 prize. Winehouse has been a cause for concern amongst her fans due to her reputed drug taking with husband Blake Fielder-Civil and the extreme weight loss she has recently suffered. Add to that a string of cancelled gigs and many people, including a few online bingo players, have been wondering if she is a tragedy in the making. Winehouse was recently admitted to hospital after suffering an overdose. She had reportedly come close to dying due to a mixture of cocaine, ecstasy, ketamine and marijuana.
