UK online bingo players using Neteller accounts for their online bingo games purchases would be well advised to avoid an email scam masquerading as the e-wallet, according to confirmation by Neteller. Neteller customers who receive an email from "communications@neteller" that supposedly advises that the company intends re-introducing IP tracking from March 31 are advised that the email is a scam originating from criminal phishers. The fake email tells account holders that IP tracking on their accounts "will be re-instated. This is a security measure to ensure the location of your login matches the country of residence registered with your NETELLER account." It then continues by urging customers thinking about going on an overseas trip to register with Neteller by clicking on a provided link. This is supposedly to gain permission to operate their accounts whilst away from home. Following the link and its subsequent instructions could expose accounts to a criminal raid resulting in loss of funds. Neteller Support is advising customers to disregard email and forward it to phishing@neteller.com for further investigation. Written by John Witherspoon – Need the best online bingo games?
